Snr Manager, eCommerce Marketing

About the job
We are looking to add strong leadership to our lifecycle marketing team. The role will collaborate with top executives from across the company to drive LTV, retention, & engagement through email & SMS marketing campaigns.  


This is a key management role with significant advancement opportunities into various marketing areas for candidates with the right combination of strategic thinking, data and analytical skills, and people management experience and aptitude. 

Sample Responsibilities 

- Manage a team of marketing and production staff: delegate work, oversee the entire production process from ticket creation and creative briefs through to deployment and analysis. - Review campaign creatives for alignment with strategy.
lead key projects that require email and SMS support, i.e. product launches, promotions, etc. 
- Work with Brand and Operations to create detailed strategic plans for various campaigns including number and timing of messages, segmentation and testing strategy, and effective messaging. 
- Set challenging KPIs and drive engagement and customer retention outcomes that meet or exceed objectives.
- Plan quarterly email and SMS calendar including Lifecycle-led campaigns like strategic customer-retention campaigns, triggered email optimization, promotions for existing customers and newsletters, in addition to the key-project emails.
- Work with Project Manager to scope and Gantt out the work, identify shortages in resources and find solutions or prioritize highest-value projects.
- Manage ESP software platform (Iterable) and vendor relationship: leveraging the platform to its maximum value, enlist professional services as needed, manage data quality for API feeds in and out of the platform.
- Oversee plan, execution, and analysis of A/B tests on blast and triggered campaigns to continuously optimize conversion rates, Revenue-Per-Email, subscription adoption rates, churn rates, etc.
- Analyze campaign data to draw insights and recommendations to share with the Lifecycle and Brand teams. 
- Nurture staff to draw their own insights for campaigns they own.
- Continuously drive production process improvement, i.e. ticket standardization, SLAs, automation of manual efforts, streamline campaign reporting, leverage dynamic-content capabilities in Iterable to personalize emails at scale.

Requirements:

- 7+ years marketing experience
- 2+ years managing marketing teams including, reviews, training, delegating, developing skills, and creating a positive work environment that promotes excellence..
- A self starter that thrives in a fast-paced environment, adapts quickly to change, and effectively prioritizes and multitasks.
- CRM and email marketing experience at a large scale ecommerce business .
- Experience in campaign planning, calendaring, general project management, and designing A/B and cohort tests.
- Expert level user of: 
      - Email software providers (ESPs) including campaign automation, data feeds in and out, and segmentation queries.
      - Excel
      - Analytics platforms like Tableau or Sisense, 
      - CRM software
- Strong analytical skills and focus on data to interpret campaign results, draw insights, formulate new strategies from those insights, and present recommendations. leverage data to create relevant, personalized communications.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills

- Basic understanding of HTML and scripting languages for personalized content.
- Experience with Iterable
